Madelynn's Twinkling Tuesday Challenge #17

This is my 2nd post for today. To see my Jacksonbelle Embellishments blog challenge card please scroll down to my previous post.

The Madelynn's Twinkling Tuesday challenge is a good one this week. "In with the old"...meaning pull out those old stamps you have sitting on the shelf that you had to buy but have never used. Sadly I have A LOT of stamps that I HAD TO HAVE that have never ever seen ink. For my card I decided to ink up these adorable Peanut the Elephant stamps from Our Craft Lounge. I bought the Peanut sets the first day OCL opened but I have been so busy that I have never inked them up until now. I wish I had used them before now...WOW! These are some of the best quality clear stamps I have ever used. If you haven't been to OCL you should definitely check them out. They have a ton of adorable stamp sets!
I also used the current color challenge from the ladies over at Color Throwdown: Orange, Pink and Turquoise.

Unfortunately, when I had my card 99% done I got a smudge of black ink from my finger on the white cardstock. Don't you hate when that happens.

If you decide to play along with our challenge please use keyword MTTSC17 when you upload to SCS or PCP.

DRS Designs BLOG HOP STOP #3

Welcome to the first ever DRS Designs blog hop! Make sure you start at the DRS Designs blog for Stop #1 and follow your way to the end. There could be some VERY YUMMY candy in store for you if you follow the hop all the way to Stop #8!!!!

Tomorrow marks another AWESOME release of stamps at DRS Designs. This release is FULL of adorable pigs, a snail, a turtle and lots more!
For my card today I used this totally adorable snail stamp! How can you not smile when you look at this snail. Because it is Friday I also decided a happy rainbow theme was much needed.
I've used this layout many times but I couldn't resist using it again. It is such a great layout to highlight both a main image and a background stamp. The background stamp I used is one of DRS Designs' Easy Backgrounds. I love these background stamps because you literally can't screw up - PERFECT backgrounds every time! This background is called Interlocking Flower Background and I thought it went great with the flowers in the snail's back.
Supplies used: Stamps from DRS Designs, SU CS, Nestibilities, SU Hodge Podge, SU ribbon, Prismacolor markers, SU Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

The next stop on the hop is the blog of the EXTREMELY talented ....DEBBIE SEYER!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Just for fun! Little Paper Shop color challenge!

The Little Paper Shop blog has a color challenge this week and I found a little time to do some "just for fun" stamping so I thought I would play along. The color challenge for this week is Red Riding Hood, Chocolate Chip and Kraft. I have to be honest, I probably wouldn't have put these colors together myself (because I never think to use Kraft) but I LOVE them together. This definitely won't be the last time you see me use these colors together! Since it is a LPS challenge I decided to use my absolute favorite set from LPS: {A Dream}. For my card I also used a LPS sketch challenge that they posted a couple months ago. I really liked this sketch the first time I used it so I thought I would try it again. The larger Prima is painted with the newly released Fire Engine Red Shimmerz.
Supplies used: A Dream stamp set from LPS, SU CS and DP, Joann's ribbon, Fire Engine Red Shimmerz, Prima flowers, American Crafts brads, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Coluzzle circle template.

Thanks for stopping by today. Tomorrow I have another DRS Designs sneak peak plus some very fun blog hop info to share! I hope you are all having a great week!

Another DRS Designs Sneak Peek!

Hello friends! Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Today I have another DRS Designs sneak peek for you. Check out this beautiful corner flower/flourish stamp. I just love it. I used it to frame in the "with Sympathy" image that was released last month. I stamped my images on Basic Grey Porcelain DP and colored the flowers with Prismacolor markers. Once again I went with a simple sympathy layout. I have to say it is a lot easier to make sympathy cards when you don't actually have a need for one.
I hope you all have a great day! I will have another DRS Designs sneak peek on Friday as well as some blog hop info to share! Stop by tomorrow for a rare "just for fun" card!
