TGIF!

TGIF has so much more meaning to me now that I'm actually working outside the home. I am truly thankful that it is Friday! I put my early morning work time in and now that I'm home I think I might just spend the rest of the day in my stamp room.
Here is a card that I made earlier this week. My design team stamp set from Firecracker Designs for this month is their new clear Calendar set. I think this set would be perfect for scrapping but I thought I would challenge myself and make some cards with it.
Supplies used: Stamps from FCD, SU CS, DCWV designer paper, May Arts ribbon, Prima flowers, Shimmerz Pink Poinsettia Blinz, Dress it up glitter dots, nestibilities.

If you haven't stopped by the Club Anya blog today, you definitely should. My favorite little stamper has a card on there today ;)

I hope you all had a wonderful week! Thanks for stopping by today!

Another Anya card!

I had so much fun making my first Anya card that I had to try another. For this card I used the Dress Up Anya. This dress just reminded me of a princess so I decided to go for a fairy tale scene. I still need A LOT of practice with my coloring skills but I'm having fun trying.

Supplies used: Dress Up Anya from the Greeting Farm, Carriage stamp from Imaginisce, Sentiment from Studio G, SU CS, Basic Grey DP, Prismacolor markers, self adhesive rhinestones.

I hope everyone is having a great week! Thanks for stopping by today!

Thoughts of Butterflies

Happy Wednesday! I hope you are all having a great week! The weather here in Wisconsin is still mighty chilly (although they are forecasting a heat wave of 40 degrees this weekend). As most of you know, a few weeks ago I started working part-time at the university. Due to a lack of affordable parking on campus, I've been riding the city bus. Yesterday morning as I stood in the dark, sub-zero degree weather at 5:45am waiting for the bus, all I could think about was summer and butterflies. There is just something about butterflies that makes me feel happy (and believe me, I needed every happy thought I could muster up while I was standing there freezing my butt off). I know I've posted about my love of the DRS Designs butterfly stamps before but I just can't help but say it again. DRS Designs has a HUGE selection of gorgeous butterfly stamps. I love them all! You can find them all in the "Wild Things" catagory on the website. Here is a card I made using one of my favorite DRS butterfly stamps:

Supplies used: Stamps from DRS Designs, SU and Bazzill CS, Basic Grey DP, Me and My Big Ideas self adhesive rhinestons, glitter.

The layout is sketch # 100 from CPS and the colors came from last week's Color Throwdown Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a great day!

Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge! Let's CASE Michelle!

Wow, seems like the weeks are flying by lately. I feel like I was just posting last week's Jacksonbelle Tuesday challenge, LOL. Anyway, this week our challenge was to CASE our fellow DT member Michelle. If you would like to play along and CASE Michelle, please use keyword JBE038 when uploading to an online gallery.
This challenge made me really nervous because Michelle is so incredibly talented. Her creations are so gorgeous. My CASE doesn't even begin to compare to her wonderful cards, but hopefully she likes it. I browsed through her blog and I kept coming back to the same card... I loved everything about it.

So here is Michelle's card:
Isn't it just beautiful! I just love everything about her card!

so here is my CASE of Michelle's card:
I tried to make my CASE as close to her card as possible (because I love her card SO much!)...
Supplies used: Artful Collage Primas and Basic Grey Boxer designer paper from Jacksonbelle embellishments, SU CS, SU buttons, self adhesive pearls, foam dimensionals and the stamp is from DRS Designs.

I loved all of the Prima flowers that Michelle used. I thought this would be the perfect chance for me to use some of the new Artful Collage Prima's that I recently ordered from Jacksonbelle. I had been admiring the these beautiful Primas for a long time and when I saw them in the clearance section at Jacksonbelle I couldn't resist ordering a couple containers of them. These gorgeous Primas are only $2.79 right now. Lindsey only has a few containers left so you better hurry if you want to get some of these babies!

And for those of you who were wondering...I passed my radiation safety exam (although it was open notes/book so it would have been pretty sad had I failed, LOL)!

Quick Post

I only have a second to post this morning since I have to try and catch a bus to campus for some radiation safety training...sounds exciting, huh?
I wanted to give you a look at one of the cards that I made using the new clear sentiment set from Firecracker Designs. I love this new set! I also used my absolute favorite FCD set "Fall Flowers". I went with a simple layout and used some Shimmerz and black glitter to add the finishing touches.
Supplies used: Stamps from Firecracker Designs, SU CS and DP, Dress it up glitter dots, Marigold Shimmerz, Prismacolor markers, MS black glitter.

Hope you all have a great start to your week. Stop by tomorrow for another fun Jacksonbelle Embellishments challenge!

New Stamps at Firecracker Designs!

Just wanted to let you all know that Firecracker Designs just released some FABULOUS new stamps sets. Pamela has 4 new rubber sets and 2 new clear sets. Click HERE to see all of the new sets! I have some cards to share later this week that I made with the new clear sentiment set. I absolutely love it!

Hope you all had a terrific weekend!

My very first Anya card!

I finally found some time to do a little bit of stamping the past couple days. When I went to Scrap Mania a few weeks ago I was the lucky recipient of a few Anya images (thanks Jess and Jen!). If you aren't familiar with Anya you should definitely go check out The Greeting Farm. This girl is just adorable...and she even has an adorable male couterpart, Ian. Also, today is the big launch of Club Anya. They have a blog hop going on this afternoon with the chance to win some cool Anya prizes (I will definitely be there!). I've been a little scared of these images because I am still working on my coloring skills...I throw away a lot more than I save when it comes to coloring. I don' t have Copic markers (except for the peachy flesh tone one) but I do have a wide variety of Prismacolor, Sharpie and Bic*Write It markers. All of these are similar to Copics in that they are alcohol based. This was my very first attempt coloring Anya...how'd I do?Supplies used: Teacher Anya from The Greeting Farm, For You! sentiment from DRS Designs, Bazzill black cardstock, DCWV designer paper, alcohol markers, white Signo gel pen, Art Institue Lion's Mane glitter, SU wide red ribbon, blue ribbon from RABOM, foam dimensionals.

I have a bunch of new projects that I'm hoping to post this week... I finally got to play with my new clear sentiment set from Firecracker Designs, the Jacksonbelle challenge this week is to case one of our talented fellow designers, and I also have some new DRS projects that I can't wait to share with you! Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are all having a great weekend.
