I promise I will have my blog candy winner posted later today (I wanted to go through and post the list of everyones fav books and movies, but I haven't gotten to that yet) and I also have some fun Shimmerz NSD stuff to post later to.

I am so excited about this upcoming release and I really think you will be too when you see all of the fabulous sneak peeks. I really liked all of the cards I made with these new stamps so I had a hard time deciding which card to use for the blog hop today. After changing my mind about 30 times I've decided to share 2 cards.

This first card uses these adorable new bait stamps. Who would have thought a worm could look so cute!

My second card uses one of the adorable DRS Dustin Pike stamps. This monkey image makes me smile every time I look at it...an easy way to brighten up anyone's day!
These adorable new stamps will be available to purchase on the DRS Designs web site starting this Saturday. While you are there, check out the AWESOME grab bags that they have available...they are a great way to build up your DRS Designs collection at an unbelievably awesome low price (only $7.95)!! You can find the grab bags in the accessories section HERE.

Next stop on the DRS blog hop is the blog of the talented Dawn Knight.

MTTSC20 Ribbit, Ribbit

This is my 2nd post today. To see my Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge card please scroll down to the previous post.

I'm cheating a little on this week's Twinkling Tuesday challenge. I actually made this card a few weeks ago but since it fit the challenge so perfectly, I'm using it!
The challenge this week is to make a card with a frog on it (or any other critter if you don't have a frog stamp). If you decide to play along with us this week, please use keyword MTTSC20 when uploading to PCP or SCS.

The stamps I used are all from DRS Designs. I have loved this Cutie Pie kid since the first time I saw him in the DRS catalog. I was so excited to finally get my hands on him and this is the first card I've made with him. The cute little frog in the background is one the stamps you can choose for free when you join the DRS Designs Rubber Mania Monthly...if you've never heard about Rubber Mania, check out the deets HERE. Did you notice I used my favorite stamp EVER yet again...the easy grass background! Have you bought this stamp yet? If not, you should. It is awesome!!!
Supplies used: Stamps from DRS Designs, SU CS, Prismacolor markers, Cuttbug embossing folder, foam dimensionals.

Speaking of DRS Designs....I was browsing their newly updated website yesterday and came across something I couldn't wait to share with all of you...GRAB BAGS! DRS has grab bags of rubber for only $7.95. This is an AWESOME deal and a great way to pick up a varitey of high quality unmounted rubber stamps. If you are new to DRS, this would be a great economical way to start your collection. These grab bags are high quality stamps (no seconds) and there are no duplicates. This is seriously a FABULOUS deal!!! To check out the grab bags click HERE.

Be sure to check out the blogs of the other Twinkling Tuesday design team members for some more frog-tastic inspiration!

Little Paper Shop inspiration challenge

I don't know if I've mentioned it on my blog before but I am really picky about stamp quality. When I first tried out clear stamps a few years ago I hated them. I didn't think clear stamps could give a quality image. In fact after buying several brands I ended up giving away all of my clear stamps. I didn't even consider clear stamps again for several months. The problem was, I kept seeing a ton of super cute images that were only available in clear. I finally gave in and started trying out clear stamps again. I have found that there is a SIGNIFICANT range of quality in clear stamps. Little Paper Shop stamps happen to be some of the absolute best quality clear stamps that I have found (Our Craft Lounge, Inkadinkado and There She Goes are my other absolute favorites!) (I won't publicly post the companies that I think have poor quality clear stamps but if you want to know my opinions send me an email and we can chat). If you haven't tried out LPS I highly recommend them...and BTW, they are having an AWESOME sale right now (I just placed a huge order yesterday).
On Monday last week the LPS blog posted an inspriation challenge. I had hoped to work on this all week but time just got away from me. I finally found some time tonight to stamp and thought I would play along. Here is the inspiration challenge photo:

Here is my card (and as crazy as it might seem, I didn't use a butterfly on my card, lol):Supplies used: Stamp from LPS, SU CS, BG DP, Dress it up glitter dots, Prima flower, SU scalloped edge punch.

Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to stop by tomorrow for my first DRS Designs May sneak peek.

Guess what this is....

The newest stamps at DRS will be released in less than a week! We can't start showing you the images until tomorrow but I thought I would give you a teeny tiny sneak peek today. I am SOOOOOOOO excited about this release and I KNOW you will be too. You will love EVERY SINGLE ONE of the new images that the wonderful DRS Designs artists came up with this month! Stop by tomorrow for the full picture!

Hope you are all having a fabulous weekend!

Hope Stamps Eternal Cupcake Challenge

If you are looking for the FCD blog hop post please scroll down to previous post.

I decided to play along with the Hope Stamps Eternal cupcake challenge again this week. Here is the picture of the beautiful cupcakes we were challenged to use as inspiration:

For my card I decided to go with the black, blue and white color scheme as well as using white butterflies. The stamp I used is from Unity Stamp Company. When I first saw this sentiment at Unity I loved it. I bought it (and 2 other sentiments) without looking to see how big it was. When they arrived I was TOTALLY SHOCKED at how big they were. I guess I should read the fine print before putting things in my cart, LOL. Because of the stamp size there isn't room for much else on the card.
Thanks for stopping by today. Don't forget to check out my April blog candy giveaway HERE.
Hope you are all having a great weekend!

Firecracker Designs - Atypical Artwork Blog Hop

Welcome to the April Firecracker Designs blog hop. If you are just hopping in, you'll want to start at the beginning of the blog hop - Pamela's blog. If you got here via Vicki's blog you are on the right track!

This month the design team was challenged to use stamps from any FCD set & create a different image/look with them. This challenge was a lot harder than it sounded. For my card I used the FCD set "Seasons Greetings".

What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by today. Don't forget to hop on over to the final blog hop stop...Sherri's Blog!

Time for some April Blog Candy!

I can't believe it is almost the end of April. Seriously, where does the time go.
For my April blog candy I have a beautiful stamp set from Hero Arts called Designer Butterflies (and you also get the April studio G set). I LOVE this Hero Arts butterfly set! Actually apparently I love it so much I bought it twice (you know me and butterflies, I can't resist). It is sad when you can't even remember what stamps you already own and then buy duplicates, LOL.
This month to get your name thrown in the pot, all you need to do is leave me a comment and tell me what your favorite book or movie is -you must answer the question to qualify. If you are a follower of my blog you get a 2nd entry, and for my dedicated followers-if you have commented 5 or more times on my blog in the past month you get a 3rd entry. I totally appreciate all the of the comments you all leave! This candy will be open until midnight on April 30th. I will annouce the winner next Friday May 1st. Good Luck!

I also have a butterfly card to share today. All of the stamps used are from DRS Designs. I love this little DRS butterfly stamp. Honestly, I think I've used it more than any other stamp I own. It works perfect as a little embellishment!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! Don't forget the Firecracker Designs blog hop tomorrow!

TGIF!

As promised, I have a "just for fun" card to share. I actually made this card quite a while ago. A couple months ago The Greeting Farm had a Case Anya challenge. The rules of the challenge were to find a card in the TGF gallery and case it. I chose THIS totally cute card made by my friend Nancy Bush to case. I used her layout and changed up the Anya and colors.

Supplies used: Digital Anya from The Greeting Farm, SU CS and DP, Prismacolor markers, Kaiser pearls, glitter.

Thanks for stopping by today. I will be posting another card and my April blog candy later today. Also, don't forget to stop by tomorrow for the Firecracker Designs blog hop.
Hope you all have a great day!

Firecracker Butterfly

Life has been total chaos the past week or so around here. Thankfully it is Thursday which means pj day. I'm hoping to get the house cleaned up and maybe even do a little stamping.
Today I thought I would share a card I made using stamps from Firecracker Designs. I went with a simple layout so that I could feature as much of the Basic Grey Ambrosia DP as possible. The Ambrosia pack is one of my favorite Basic Grey collections! The butterfly is colored with Prismacolor markers and painted with Shimmerz paints.

Supplies used: Stamps from Firecracker Designs, SU CS, Basic Grey Ambrosia DP, May Arts ribbon, Shimmerz paint, Prismacolor makres, Hero Arts gems.

Thanks for stopping by today. Stop by tomorrow for a "just for fun" project. Also, Saturday is the monthly Firecracker Designs blog hop!
Hope you all have a fabulous day!

1-2-3 Jacksonbelle Challenge!

It is time for another Jacksonbelle Embellishements Tuesday challenge. This week is definitely a challenge. Our fellow JB design team member, Michelle, challenged us to a 1-2-3 challenge...1 stamp, 2 embellishements and 3 layers (the base layer is included in the 3). If you decide to play along with us, please use keyword JBE050 when you upload to SCS or PCP.

This was a MAJOR MAJOR challenge for me. To be totally honest I think my card sorta sucks but given the restrictions this was my best of 3 attempts - the other 2 ended up in the trash. To try and give the allusion of extra layers I sponged the edges of my Pink Paislee DP with dark brown ink. I don't know that this gave the look I was intending but I guess it helped. As for the the 2 embellishements, I interpreted this as 2 types so I used some ribbon and some Kaiser pearls. The stamp I used is from Inkadinkado.

Sorry the photo is at a weird angle. The sentiment and ribbon aren't really as crooked as they look in the photo.
