Paper Makeup Release Challenge + MTTI06

Paper Makeup Stamps had their September release last week and as part of their release they posted a couple challenges. One of the challenges was "I've got a CASE of PMS". The challenge was to pick a card from the Paper Makeup Stamps gallery on SCS and CASE it.
I chose a GORGEOUS card by Lisa Kind to CASE. The first time I saw her card a few weeks ago on the PMS blog I was in awe. It is seriously beautiful! Sadly, my card doesn't even begin to come close the beauty of hers but I gave it a try. To see her card, click HERE.
Here is my card:
I CASED Lisa's card's layout and used this week's My Time To Create Inspiration challenge for my colors.

Thanks for stopping by today! Check back tomorrow for a peak at one of this month's Little Paper Shop releases! You won't want to miss it!

TGIF!

We have had a crazy week. School, swimming lessons, housework...yikes! I didn't stamp at all this week but thanks to my crazy stamping marathon from last weekend I have a card to share today (and a bunch more to share in upcoming days).
This is another one of the cards that I made for one of the Taylored Expressions Birthday Bash challenges.

Here is the sketch:

Here is my card:

Taylored Expressions Birthday Bash Challenge

I hope everyone is having a great week! Today I wanted to share another one of the Taylored Expressions Birthday Bash challenge cards that I made. There were 13 challenges posted over the weekend and as crazy as this sounds...I managed to do every single one of them. 13 cards over a 4 day period. Talk about stamping marathon (considering I average about 2 hours per card). The good thing about all of this is, I have a nice size stash of cards to share over the next few weeks!
There were a couple sketch challenges in the bunch and I thought I would share one of them today.
Here is the sketch:

Here is my card:

I probably should have waited for better natural light to take this photo but I was so happy with the card I wanted to share it right away. This adorable image is from SCACD. Isn't he just the cutest! Totally reminds me of Beckett. I got a lot of Copic practice in this weekend. I think 10 of the 13 cards that I made had images to color. I was thrilled with how this one turned out. I'm still very new at coloring with Copics so my coloring attempts are not always at successful as this one ...BUT....next week I am taking the Copic certification class so hopefully I will learn tons of tips! To make the class even better (actually this is better than the class entirely)...my dear dear friend Kisa is flying in and taking it too! I get to spend the day playing with Copics and hanging out with Kisa...it doesn't get better than this...SERIOUSLY!!!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Stamping the day away!

I hope you are all having a wonderful Labor Day weekend. We have been hanging out relaxing most of the weekend. As crazy as this may seem, I actually got to spend 8 hours in my stamp room today. I got up this morning, grabbed a Diet Dr. Pepper and hurried off to stamp in my PJ's....next thing I knew it was 3:30. Yikes. Where did the day go? I did manage to get 4 cards made during the 8 hours. I'm a slow crafter. I typically average about 2 hours per card.

For one of my cards today I played along with one of the Taylored Expressions Birthday Bash challenges. The challenge was a color challenge: Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo & Crushed Curry
For my card I used an Elisabeth Bell stamp from SCACD. I absolutely love this image. The sentiment is from Verve Stamps.
Supplies used: Elisabeth Bell stamp from SCACD, Sentiment stamp from Verve Stamps, SU DP, SU CS, SU Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Copic markers, EK Success border punch, Amuse ribbon, foam dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you are all having a great day! Be sure to check back in tomorrow for another fun Little Paper Shop Monday challenge!

Mojo on vacation!

You may have noticed that I haven't posted much lately. With the stress of Annabelle starting kindergarten and trying to get everything ready for that, my mojo seems to have jumped ship. I've tried stamping a couple times in the past few weeks and I just haven't been able to put anything together. I'll be leaving a trail of glitter in hopes that my mojo finds it and follows the way home ASAP. While we're waiting I have a card I made a while ago for one of the Paper Makeup Stamps Monday challenges.

Hope you all had a great day!

WooHoo!

Have you seen the new Just Cards! Holidays! issue? I just got mine in the mail yesterday.
Recognize that bottom card? It's mine!!!! I can't tell you how excited I was to see my card on the cover of the magazine.

Here is the card: all stamps are from DRS Designs

I also have another card in this issue made with stamps from Firecracker Designs.
I hope you all have a fabulous day! Thanks for stopping by!

The 2008/09 Design Team Says Goodbye!

It's time for the August Firecracker Designs blog hop! The theme this month is: The 2008/09 Design Team Says Goodbye! This is the final blog hop of the current design team so we thought it only fitting that we went with a "goodbye/missing you" theme. To make this blog hop even more fun, Pamela has decided to have a Scavenger hunt for a 25% off coupon code that will be good on your entire order (excluding magazine orders please)! Each design team member will have a secret letter/symbol that you need to find. Once you've gone all the way around, you'll have all the letters for the code. To unscramble them, put them in order, starting with Pamela's blog. (Follow the links from there, to get the correct order for the letters.). Have Fun!
(If you haven't figured out my secret letter yet, I'll give you one more hint at the end of my post).

For my card I used the FCD set "Elephants on Parade". I absolutely love this set. It is full of fun elephant images and sentiments that coordinate perfectly!
I want to thank Pamela for giving me the opportunity to be on her design team for the past year. It has been a great year and I'm sad to see it come to an end! It has been a true blessing to work for such a great company!

Thanks for stopping by today! This is a “circular blog hop” where the beginning is wherever you start!! You will know you are at the end of the blog hop when you’ve come back to the blog you’ve started from! (It’s not a huge circle…so it should be easy to remember where you started.)

There will be blog candy given away to 1 lucky blog hop participant. The winner will be chosen from the comments left on the blog of one of the FCD design team members...but which one? The blog candy hostess is a mystery! We don't even know who the blog candy hostess will be until the hop is over…so make sure you leave a comment on EVERY blog, so you don’t miss out on a chance at the blog candy!

****If you are the blog candy winner, you will be contacted by Pamela via e-mail (so be sure to leave it with your comment.) and you can also find out the winner on Pamela’s blog after the blog hop ends on Monday, August 31st at 8:00 PM (EST).****

Now, to continue the circle, hop on over the the blog of the incredibly talented Ursula,
and keep going until you’ve come back to where you’ve started! Thanks so much for playing along with us and we hope you have a great time!

Have A great day!

Missin You

Today is Annabelle's first full day of kindergarten. This card definitely represents how I feel. I miss her already and she just left for school 5 minutes ago.

The stamps I used for this card are from Firecracker Designs.

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to stop by Saturday for the August Firecracker Designs blog hop. This will be the last blog hop for the current design team. I'm sad that our term is ending but it has been an awesome year!

Life

I don't have a project to share today but I did want to share a picture of my baby girl who started kindergarten on Tuesday. It breaks my heart that she has grown up so fast. Seems like she was born yesterday and now here she is a big kid starting kindergarten. The first 2 days were only half days but tomorrow starts the full day schedule. I feel lost with her not here all day. We spent so many days hanging out in my stamp room together. A few days ago we were sitting in my stamp room and she was coloring images with my Prismacolor markers and singing away to Hannah Montana... and tomorrow she will be off to full day kindergarten. It's not fair. I want my little girl to stay a little girl forever. The one thing that makes me happy is that she is SO excited about her new school and all of the new things she is going to learn.

Isn't she adorable!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you are all having a great week!

We have a fun inspiration challenge today! Unfortunately summer is almost over...as a tribute to the lazy days of summer our inspiration challenge this week is : YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE!!!!!
