Have a great weekend!

It has been a long time since I've had a chance to just post for fun. Life has been totally crazy for us the past few months. I'm sure many of you have noticed I haven't been commenting on blogs much lately. With vacation and Christmas and unfortunately a lot of illness, I haven't been able to get back on track. We are also trying to get our house ready to put on the market so I've also been spending a lot of time trying to make it appear like our house actually has some storage (not an easy thing to do when every closet in the house is packed floor to ceiling). I'm hoping to get back in the swing of blogging and commenting on blogs ASAP. I also missed my blogiversary a couple weeks ago so be on the lookout for some fun blog candy coming soon. Thanks to all of you how have stuck with me even when I haven't been around to your blogs!

With all that being said I thought I would share a card I made a few months ago. I absolutely LOVE this image from SCACD. Isn't she just adorable!

I also have a few little annoucments to share today:

My blogging friend Erika is giving away some INCREDIBLE blog candy. Check out her blog HERE.

All Inkadinkado stamps are on sale 75% at Jacksonbelle! Sale applies to in-stock items only. Lindsey will no longer be carrying Inkadinkado stamps so these will no be re-stocked. All of the remaining stock is under $3 and there are still some awesome stamps left!

Today is the big 3rd anniversary party for Paper Pretties. The fun starts in the Paper Pretties forum at 7pm CST.

The Little Paper Shop January release sneak peaks start Sunday. The sets this month are AWESOME! You'll definitely want to check them out! The design team will be sharing peaks on Sunday and Monday with the sets being available to purchase on Tuesday. Be sure to check out the LPS blog on Sunday and Monday for a chance to win the new sets!

I think that is about it from me today. I hope you all have a terrific weekend!

Paper PRetties Wednesday Challenge and a Blog Hop!

It's Wednesday! That means it is time for another funWednesday Prettie Challenge and blog hop! This week our challenge comes from the incredibly talented Prettie Girl Frances! Frances' challenge is a super fun sketch. We would love for you to ink up your Paper Pretties stamps and play along with us. One lucky challenge participant will win a $15 coupon to the Paper Pretties Boutique. Here are the challenge details:

How to Enter: make a card using the provided sketch and any Paper Pretties stamp set(s) you have. Upload the card to the Paper Pretties gallery. Please include it in the Weekly Challenges album and use keyword PWC85.
Deadline: 6pm EST Tuedsay, January 12th.
Prize: $15.00 coupon to the Paper Pretties Boutique

Here is the sketch:

Frances had a tall card (not A2) in mind for this sketch but because my brain is apparently still on vacation and because I haven't been feeling well and am just not on the ball, I made mine A2 size. I'm sure my card would have been much cuter had I actually followed directions.

For my card I used 2 of the fun new winter sets Snowy Snuggles and Frosty. Both of these sets are super cute and great for Christmas or just general winter cards!
The large blue snowflake was not exactly in my original plan but just as I was finishing up gluing my card together I somehow smudged black ink from my fingers onto my card. In an effort to salvage it (since it was completely done) I added the felt snowflake.
Supplies used: Frosty and Snowy Snuggles sets from Paper Pretties, SU cardstock, Copic markers, Sparkly Fluff, MAMBI self adhesive rhinestones, SU scalloped edge punch, Cuttlebug snowflakes embossing folder, nestibilites, Hero Arts felt snowflake.

If you are just starting at my blog, head on over to Christie's blog to start from the beginning. You definitely won't want to miss any of the stops! If you are following the hop, the next stop after my blog is the blog of Prettie Girl Wendy Bond!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a terrific day!

Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge and blog hop!

Welcome back! It's Tuesday, so that means it is time for another fabulous Jacksonbelle Tuesday challenge. Since this week is the first official week of the newest design team members we thought we would have a little fun and do a blog hop along with the challenge. If you just joined the hop you will want to go back to Lindsey's blog and start from the begining. The cards are all fabulous and you definitely don't want to miss any of them. If you got here from Windy's blog you are on the right path!

The challenge this week is a super fun sketch challenge. We'd love for you to play along! If you do, please be sure to leave a link to your project in the comments section of the Jacksonbelle blog challenge post !

Here is the sketch:

For my card I used the new Sugar Rush designer paper from Basic Grey. Jacksonbelle has both the Sugar Rush and the Origins lines in stock!

Supplies used: Basic Grey Sugar Rush, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, SU cardstock, Copic markers, misc ribbon, stamps from Paper Pretties.

The next stop of the hop is one of the newest members of the Jacksonbelle team: Julie Lacey!
Julie is an absolutely AMAZING stamper and I am lucky enough to be on 2 different design teams with her. Julie's talent is incredible...I am inspired by her work on a daily basis! She is seriously the one of the best bow makers I have ever seen!!!! She is also a wiz with chipboard!
I also just found out that she lives in Minnesota...so she knows what it is like to be freezing cold too (we have some temps in the neg. digits this week)! Julie spends her days working as a financial controller (bet my dh wishes we had someone besides me controlling our finances, LOL) and her nights stamping with her 3 doggies! Ok...now that you know a little bit about Julie, head on over to HER BLOG and take a look around! You won't be disappointed!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Paper Pretties Wednesday Challenge and a Blog Hop!

Welcome back to another Paper Pretties Wednesday challenge and blog hop! The challenge this week is to decorate a notebook. For all of the challenge details be sure to check out the Paper Clip.

Since I'm still trying to ease my way back into my stamping routine, I made a pretty simple little notebook this week. One of my goals for 2010 is to be better at sending out birthday cards (on time). I figured if I made a little notebook and wrote birthdays and addresses in it and kept in at my stamp table maybe I'd be more on the ball when it comes to sending birthday cards.

For my notebook I used a little 3.5"x3.5" mini scrapbook. I stamped and colored Make a Wish Sophia and adhered it to the scrapbook. I added some ribbon to the spirals and viola!

If you are just joining in the hop be sure to go back and start from the begining (Christie's blog). If you have been hopping along, the next stop in the hop is the blog of Prettie Girl Wendy Bond.

Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge!

Welcome to another fabulous Jacksonbelle Tuesday challenge! For our final challenge of 2009 we decided to have a little fun with ribbon. Our challenge this week is called "Rolling in Ribbon". Think of a fun way to use ribbon ie ruffles, make a medallion by using a running stitch and gathering, use your scraps and layer them under your image...anything with ribbon! We would love for you to play along with us. If you do, be sure to leave us a link to your project on the challenge post on the Jacksonbelle blog.

Because I'm still a bit out of it after vacation and Christmas, I totally thought this challenge was to just use ribbon. I totally missed the part about a creative way to use ribbon. So here is my not-so-creative way of using ribbon:
I used a super cute Stampavie stamp, gorgeous May Arts ribbon and Basic Grey designer paper from the Jacksonbelle store.

This week is the last week for a couple of our departing design team members. Be sure to stop by and leave them some love. They are definitely going to be missed!

Jimmi Mayo ~ Stamping & Shopping

Michelle Philippi ~ Inside My Own Private Idaho

A Prettie Wednesday challenge and blog hop!

It's Wednesday! That means it is time for another fun Wednesday Prettie Challenge and blog hop! This week our challenge comes from Prettie Girl Christi! Christi's challenge for everyone is to use eyelets on your project.

Please include it in the Weekly Challenges album and use keyword PWC82.
Deadline: 6pm EST Tuedsay, December 22nd.
Prize: $15.00 coupon to the Paper Pretties Boutique

This was definitely a challenge for me since I don't own any eyelets. Lucky for me a few weeks ago when I went to my friend Jen's for a stamping night, I raided her crazy eyelet stash. She just happened to have frog eyelets which I thought would work perfect with Lady Sophia.

If you are just starting at my blog, head on over to Christie's blog to start from the beginning. You definitely won't want to miss any of the stops! If you are following the hop, the next stop after my blog is the blog of Prettie Girl Wendy Bond!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a wonderful day. We are at Disney's Animal Kingdom today! I hope you have lots of pics to share when we get back!
