I'm still alive....
but I am totally exhausted!!! Not sure if you have heard the news, but as of this past Monday I am the new owner of Paper Pretties. I am SOOOOO excited about this new adventure but completely overwhelmed at the same time. I have spent more than 20 hours in the past 2 days opening boxes of inventory...counting and organizing. My back hurts, my feet hurt, my head hurts...but I'm excited (and a little terrified) about the future! I have tons of big plans for Paper Pretties! I'm adding tons of fun new products to the store...a new illustrator or two....plus more fabulous Cooper and Sophia images from Paper Pretties illustrator Joni Stringfield. I hope you all join me on this crazy adventure! I will be having a huge grand "re-opening" event to celebrate sometime in July! You won't want to miss it! In the meantime you might not see or hear much from here for a week or so.

As most of you know, the Jacksonbelle store is closing its virtual doors. As of today everything in the store is 50% off! Things are selling fast so shop early for the best selection!
Since it is Tuesday we continue with our June JB challenge of "use your favorite products from the JB store".
One of my favorite product categories in the JB store is Rub-ons! I absolutely love rub-ons and Lindsey has a big selection of them in the store!
I used the Daisy D rub-on tape roller for the stitching around the edges of this card.

Life is Busy!
Sorry I haven't been posting much lately. With the start of summer vacation for the kids, life got completely hectic overnight. We are a week into summer break and are finally starting to settle into a routine. Hopefully that means more stamping time for me in the near future.
I do have a card to share today though...This sentiment is one of my favorite from DRS Designs. I also love this simple layout (I've used it several times). The designer paper and brads are from Basic Grey.
Don't forget that the entire Jacksonbelle store is on sale 40% off! There are still some terrific products to choose from but they are selling fast so shop early for the best selection!

Changes
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! We are enjoying the gorgeous weather, hanging out with family and friends! I'm also hoping to fit a little stamping in too, but we'll see.
With school ending and summer quickly approaching we have a lot of changes going on around our house. As much as I can't believe it, Beckett has graduated from pre-school and will be starting kindergarten in the fall and Annabelle is only 2 school days away from kindergarten graduation. I am so sad that my babies are growing up, yet so proud of both of them!
They have a crazy busy summer filled with summer camps, swimming lessons, soccer and lots more!
Besides changes with the kids, I myself have had a lot going on these past several months. Only a few of you know this, but in January I decided it was time for me to get rid of my "pregnancy weight" since my baby was turning 5 years old. Since mid January I have been following a strict diet and walking on the treadmill and have managed to lose 56 pounds. It has been a long, hard road but I'm proud of my accomplishment. I also managed to lower my cholesterol by 48 points which for me is a big deal. I have had high cholesterol for most of my adult life. I am finally considered a normal healthy weight and my cholesterol is in the normal range! Woohoo!
Unfortunately, I have also been dealing with a thyroid issue for the past 6 months which has made me absolutely miserable. This is an ongoing issue that I pray gets resolved soon. If any of you are thyroid experts or are married to one I'd love to hear from you. Can you tell I'm getting desperate, LOL?
I also wanted to post a little bit about some changes you are going to see here on my blog in the upcoming weeks. First off, you may have noticed that I have moved a couple company names into the "past design teams" list on my side bar. Yesterday was my last official post as part of the Susana's Custom Art and Card Design design team and Monday will be my last official post as part of the Little Paper Shop design team. I am going to try and play along with the LPS Monday challenges and the SCACD TIOT challenges but it won't be a regular thing every week for me anymore. I have been truly honored to a part of both of these teams.
I do have some super exciting things coming up in the future (more on that in the next few weeks) but for the next month or so you might not see as many posts from me.

TIOT: Tags!
Welcome to this week's SCACD Try It Out Tuesday challenge (on Thursday)! To change things up a bit the design team has split the week up with half of us posting on Tuesday and the other half on Thursday. This week our challenge is to make a tag.
For my tag, I used the Our Craft Lounge set "Sunshine Cheer". I absolutely adore this set! I stamped my images with Momento Tuxedo Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copic markers. I added some Kaiser bling for a little extra shine!
