Check this out!!!

I know I said I was taking the weekend off from blogging but I saw a blog post this morning that I just couldn't wait to share. As I was checking out all of my favorite blogs this morning I saw that Dustin Pike is going to be releasing his first ever rubber stamps (he currently has a etsy store filled with adorable digi stamps). I was thrilled to hear this but then it got even better...Dustin's stamps are being released by DRS Designs!!!!!! I absolutely love Dustin's images and I can't wait to get my hands on these! To see a sneak peak of the images check out Dustin's blog HERE. While you're there take a look around. He has some awesome free digi downloads. Also check out his etsy store. I just bought his Fairie Bear this morning and can't wait to play with it! You will be able to see sneak peaks on the DRS blog in the coming weeks. I can't wait!
Hope you are all having a great weekend!

Happy Easter and some challenge cards!

Hope everyone had a great week. Because we have a ton of things going on this weekend I decided to do one big post today to last you until Monday. First of all I want to wish you all a Happy Easter. My first card uses the newly released "Easter Blessings" set from Firecracker Designs by Pamela. This set is just gorgeous and can be used for things other than Easter. The tulips are colored with Prismacolor markers and then painted with Shimmerz.

Next I wanted to share a couple challenge cards I made this week. This first challenge is an inspiration posted on the Paper Makeup Stamps blog. Here is the inspiration piece:
Here is my card. I just love all of the monster stamps from Paper Makeup. They all make me smile. I thought this sentiment from The Angel Company was perfect for this guy! I decided to use the inspiration piece as a color challenge so I used red, blue and green.

The second challenge I did this week is actually a combination of the Little Paper Shop sketch challenge as well as last week's Flutter By Wednesday challnege (no designer paper *gasp*).
Here is the LPS sketch:
Here is my card. I really liked this sketch but I struggled big time trying not to use designer paper. In the end I think it turned out ok but I now realize how much I depend on designer paper, lol.
Thanks for stopping by, all of your comments really mean a lot to me. I hope you all have an absolutely wonderful weekend and a Happy Easter! I'm taking the weekend off from blogging but I will be back on Monday with another fun card from DRS Designs!

DRS Designs Easter

As promised, I have another DRS Designs Easter card to share today. This card has a pretty simple layout but I really love how the color in the paper coordinated with the egg so I didn't want to cover too much up. I colored the image with Prismacolor markers and then painted the egg with Shimmerz paint. I love how rich the colors look. The egg is popped up with foam dimensionals. Isn't this image just adorable!!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you are all having a wonderful week!

Hope Stamps Eternal Cupcake Challenge #1

Starting this week, Rachel from Hope Stamps Eternal is going to be posting a weekly cupcake inspiration challenge on her blog. This is the first week and aren't these cupcakes awesome!
When I first started my card I tried a ladybug theme with a pink flower just like the cupcakes but I just couldn't get it to work out. I scrapped that idea and decided to go with a ladybug/flower them (just leave out the pink). I'm really happy with how this turned out except for the fact that my center square is glued on a bit crooked. I tried hiding the error with some extra leaves but in the end you can still tell, but oh well. I live and breath Tombow Mono Multi but in cases like this I wish it was quite so permanent. I actually tried to get that square off but after 2 long hours of putzing with this card I decided that crooked was A-OK with me. This week one lucky cupcake challenge participant will win a $10 gc to Rachel's Hope Stamps Eternal store so pull out those stamps and get inspired!!!

Hope you all had a great day! I have another DRS Designs Easter card to share with you tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Wednesday!

Hope everyone is having a great day! With Easter just a few days away I thought I would share an Easter card that I made recently. All images are from DRS Designs. I think this chick is just so cute. I covered the chicks in Doodlebug Fun Flock to give them a fuzzy feel. I also masked them and added the easy grass background. The easy grass background is on of my favorite stamps EVER. It is seriously a must have for every stamper (I think I've probably said that before but I love it so much I thought I'd say it again, lol.)
DRS Designs have a ton of super cute Easter designs. To see their entire Easter collection click HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are all enjoying your day!

Madelynn's Twinkling Tuesday Challenge #17

This is my 2nd post for today. To see my Jacksonbelle Embellishments blog challenge card please scroll down to my previous post.

The Madelynn's Twinkling Tuesday challenge is a good one this week. "In with the old"...meaning pull out those old stamps you have sitting on the shelf that you had to buy but have never used. Sadly I have A LOT of stamps that I HAD TO HAVE that have never ever seen ink. For my card I decided to ink up these adorable Peanut the Elephant stamps from Our Craft Lounge. I bought the Peanut sets the first day OCL opened but I have been so busy that I have never inked them up until now. I wish I had used them before now...WOW! These are some of the best quality clear stamps I have ever used. If you haven't been to OCL you should definitely check them out. They have a ton of adorable stamp sets!
I also used the current color challenge from the ladies over at Color Throwdown: Orange, Pink and Turquoise.

Unfortunately, when I had my card 99% done I got a smudge of black ink from my finger on the white cardstock. Don't you hate when that happens.

If you decide to play along with our challenge please use keyword MTTSC17 when you upload to SCS or PCP.
