I still don't have a stamp room but I do have a cute card to share. I made this card several weeks ago for one of the Paper Makeup Stamps sketch challenges. Isn't this guy cute!!! I just love him! The set is called "Nuts About You" and comes with this cute little guy plus a cute bunch of acorns and a couple sentiments for only $6 for bare rubber or $8 on ez mount. You can't beat that! To make things even better PMS has super reasonable shipping charges. If you have never been to Paper Makeup Stamps now is a great time...there are tons of super cute new releases that you won't want to miss out on (I've already ordered the new releases and can't wait for them to get here!).
I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by today!

No stamp room and no internet....
can you say "crabby mom". My stamp room is still under construction and to make things worse, our internet was also down all day. Talk about bad day! Those are the 2 things that keep me sane! Thankfully the internet just starting working again!!
Here is another card made with one of the new Dustin Pike images from DRS Designs. I adore all of these new images. They are so fun and cute and great to color! The strange thing about this card is...I actually stamped a background stamp all over the orange cardstock and when I went back the next morning the background was gone. I had used orange on orange just to give it a subtle look but apparently it was too subtle, lol. I had the card glued together by that point so I couldn't redo the background.

Cuddle Me Sophia
We are finally having the trim done in our basement. The basement was finished except for the trim when we bought the house and it has taken us 8 years to finally get around to having it done. This means my stamp room is currently under construction so there will be no stamping for me for a couple days. Thankfully I have a pretty big stock pile of cards that I can post to my blog.
Today I thought I would share another one of the cards I entered in the May Paper Pretties Cutie Pie contest. I am absolutely in love with Cuddle Me Sophia. She makes me smile every time I look at her. Makes we wish my kids could stay kids forever. Wouldn't that be awesome. I miss the days when a big hug from my favorite teddy bear made everything all better.
It is hard to tell from the picture but the darker cardstock is actually chocolate chip and not black. I was going to add a sentiment but I thought this one looked pretty good without. Sometimes I guess simple is better.

Simple Monochromatic Baby Card
Today I wanted to share a simple monochromatic card. I don't typically do monochromatic but I thought that this sentiment worked perfect for this kind of card...whenever I think about baby girls, pink automatically comes to my mind. I really liked how this card came together. It is simple but still has a nice, elegant look to it. The background was made using the baby pin stamp from DRS Designs. I added glitter to the heads of the baby pins to give the card that little extra sparkle.

I'm still in a funk but my blog must go on...
I'm still living in the world of chaos, but I'm trying to keep up. How do I keep up? Well...by combining 3 challenges in 1 card. Those of you who know me well, know that I am a total nerd who tries to stay about a month ahead on all of my design team commitments... so you know I was in total panic mode a week ago knowing I didn't have this week's card done yet. So just imagine what that panic turned into when it was yesterday afternoon and I still didn't have today's challenge done. Along with being a total mess, I seem to have lost every bit of creativity I might have had. This card is sort of a picture or me...a little too much, not quite enough, sort of dark, sort of sunny, mixed up and still sort of organized...
So today marks another Jacksonbelle Embellishments challenge. This week the design team was challenged to use these GORGEOUS crocheted flowers on our projects. These flowers are SOOOO incredible. They are handmade by Melody Schwartz (aka lacyquilter on SCSers). They come in packages of 8 flowers for $7.99. Shipping is $2.25 for up to 10 packages. You can pre-order these on the Jacksonbelle website. I also want to mention that all Memory Box items are 30% off, Stickles are 15% off and there are some fabulous new Inkadinkado stamps that were just added to the store.
This is also my card for this week's Madelynn's Twinkling Tuesday sketch (for my card I flipped the sketch on its side)
And...it is also my Little Paper Shop blog flower challenge for this week.
My 3-challenge card: (sorry for the so-so photo - the sun was going down by the time I finished)
Supplies used: Stamp from Little Paper Shop, SU CS, Prima DP, American Crafts brads, Prima Flower, Sunflower Shimmerz, Crocheted flower, foam dimensionals, Cuttlebug embossing folder, SU grosgrain ribbon.
Be sure to check out the rest of the Jacksonbelle Rockstars for some more awesome crocheted flower inspiration!
AND....be sure to check out the blogs of the other Twinkling Tuesday design team members for some more sketch-tastic inspiration!

DRS Designs blog challenge #20
Welcome back to Challenge #20 in the DRS Designs blog challenge series. This week the challenge is to create a project/card using your favorite technique. We hope this inspires you to pull out your stamps and get stamping! We would love for you to play along with us. Share your favorite technique with us...you just may introduce us to something we've never tried before! If you play along, please post a direct link to your project in the comment section of the challenge post on the DRS blog. If you upload to a public gallery, please use the keyword DRSC20. If you play along, you'll enter yourself into a drawing for some blog candy being given by DRS Designs (make sure you post your link on the DRS blog). Drawing will take place Sunday night, May 17, 2009. (You do not need DRS images to play, but if you have them, by all means use them!)
Check out the DRS blog to see the favorite techniques of all of the design team members!
When I saw this challenge I realized that I'm not really a technique girl. I don't really do anything fancy or unusal. I'm more of a stamps, paper, glue, markers girl. So after thinking about it I decided my favorite techniques (if you can even call them techniques) are:
-Coloring with markers...this is my favorite thing to do right now
-detail cutting / adding dimension (I cut out a lot of things and pop them up with dimensionals)
and
-omitting (A LOT of times I only use a portion of a image..therefore omitting part of it - I most often do this with sentiments.) For my card I used this stamp but only used the "congratulations" part of the sentiment (omitting the rest)
