Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge: CAS

Welcome to this week's Jacksonbelle Tuesday challenge! Our challenge this week is to make a CAS card! We'd love for you to play along! If you do be sure to let us know...leave a comment with a link to your project on the challenge post on the JB blog!

I love CAS cards but I have a really hard time making them. I'm just not a CAS girl, LOL.
For my card I used some gorgeous Pink Paislee designer paper, some Prima flowers, some Zva Creative roses and some Shimmerz Blingz...all from Jacksonbelle. My sentiment stamp is from Unity Stamps.

My layout comes from the current Clean and Simple Stamping sketch challenge:

Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge!

Welcome to another fabulous Jacksonbelle Tuesday challenge! This week we have a fun inspiration challenge for you. Our challenge for you is to use this wedding cake as your inspiration:

It also happens that this is my actual wedding cake! A former co-worker of mine made our cakes and I LOVED them! Unfortunately we got married before digital photography was popular so I had to scan my printed photo. The photo just doesn't do the cake justice. It was SOOO cool. Our wedding anniversary is next week and I just can't believe it has been almost 8 years since we got married. Crazy how time flies! Here are a couple more shots of the cake before I share my card:

I decided to use the cake as a color challenge. I just had to dip into my new October Afternoon designer paper for this one. I also used this week's Taylored Expressions sketch challenge.
I found some Basic Grey buttons in my stash that matched the October Afternoon paper just perfectly!

For the 2nd time this week I added some white Scrappers Floss (that I colored with a pink Copic marker) to the buttons for the Copic Creations Coloring on other surfaces challenge!

I have tons of favorite products from the JB store so it was so hard to decide what to use. I the end I decided on Basic Grey designer paper, a gorgeous Stampavie Sarah Kay stamp and some Zva Creative bling!

Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge!

Welcome to another fabulous Jacksonbelle Tuesday challenge! It's almost the most TAXING day of the year so in "celebration" of tax day our challenge this week is to make a card using taxes as your inspiration. For example ~ money, green, numbers...anything that represents your view of taxes. We'd love for you to play along. If you do be sure to leave us a link to your project in the the comments section of the challenge post on the JB blog or use keyword JBE101 when uploading to SCS or PCP.

Since I don't own a gigantic sad face stamp I had to go with my 2nd choice for what taxes represent to me, LOL. I decided to use green as my tax inspiration. For my card I paired up a Paper Makeup Stamps sentiment with some fabulous Basic Grey designer paper, Prima lace ribbon and some coordinating bling. I hate taxes but I do love how this card turned out.

Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge!

Welcome to this week's Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge. This week we have a 1-2-3 challenge! This time around the challenge is to use 1 BLACK item, 2 PUNCHED items and 3 CIRCLE items. We'd love for you to play along with us. If you do, be sure to leave a link to your project in the comments section of the challenge post on the JB blog or use keyword JBE099 when uploading to SCS or PCP.

For my card I sort of stretched the definition of 1 black item...I used multiple pieces of black cardstock but I'm considering cardstock in general 1 item, LOL...(I ALWAYS suck at these 1-2-3 challenges)! For my 2 punched items I punched the border of each of the 2 pieces of Basic Grey designer paper (probably a stretch again). And the 3 Basic Grey pearls count as my 3 circle items.

If you do be sure to leave a link to your project in the comment section of the challenge post on the JB blog and/or use keyword JBE097 when up loading to PCP or SCS.

For my card I used the new Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety 6x6 paper pad along with the coordinating Garden Variety buttons. These new Cosmo 6x6 pads are filled with gorgeous coordinating patterns. I am addicted to 6x6 paper pads. They store so nicely and the price is definitely a plus! I also used one of my favorite Stampavie images. For me, the biggest loves of my life are my kids. For my card I chose an image that truly shows the meaning of love in my mind. I paired the image up with my absolute favorite Basic Grey line ever...Origins! I LOVE the greens, browns and yellows in these patterns! I added some Prima flowers and some matching Basic Grey brads. The background was done using the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.

Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge

It is time for another fun Jacksonbelle Tuesday challenge! This week Lynda gave us the fun challenge of using Buttons, Bows and Brads. If you do, be sure to leave a link to your project in the comments section of the challenge post on the Jacksonbelle blog.

For my card I used another one of the fabulous Sugar Nellie stamps that Delia gave me for Christmas. I just can't even begin to thank her enough for these adorable stamps. I am totally loving them! I paired up this little cutie with some gorgeous Basic Grey Wisteria designer paper and matching Basic Grey Wisteria brads from Jacksonbelle. I also used my all-time favorite Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.

Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge!

It's time for another fabulous Jacksonbelle Tuesday challenge! This week's challenge is a bit tougher than our past couple weeks...we thought we were going too easy on you, LOL. Our challenge this week is to create an everyday card using unconventional designer paper. What? What we mean is, make a birthday card with Halloween paper or a thank card with Christmas paper or a Christmas card with Easter paper (that would definitely be a challenge)...or something like that. We'd love for you to play along! If you do, be sure to use keyword JBE090 when uploading to SCS or PCP, or leave a link to your project in the comments section of the challenge post on the Jacksonbelle blog!

I got this amazing Sugar Nellie stamp from my friend Delia for Christmas and even though Christmas is over I thought I would make one more Christmas card. For unconventional designer paper, I chose the Pink Paislee Cupid line for my Christmas card.

I added some ribbon, bling, crocheted flower and a Basic Grey stitched brad to finish things off. I absolutely love the matching accessories that Basic Grey releases with their designer paper. Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge and blog hop!

Welcome back! It's Tuesday, so that means it is time for another fabulous Jacksonbelle Tuesday challenge. Since this week is the first official week of the newest design team members we thought we would have a little fun and do a blog hop along with the challenge. If you just joined the hop you will want to go back to Lindsey's blog and start from the begining. The cards are all fabulous and you definitely don't want to miss any of them. If you got here from Windy's blog you are on the right path!

The challenge this week is a super fun sketch challenge. We'd love for you to play along! If you do, please be sure to leave a link to your project in the comments section of the Jacksonbelle blog challenge post !

Here is the sketch:

For my card I used the new Sugar Rush designer paper from Basic Grey. Jacksonbelle has both the Sugar Rush and the Origins lines in stock!

Supplies used: Basic Grey Sugar Rush, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, SU cardstock, Copic markers, misc ribbon, stamps from Paper Pretties.

The next stop of the hop is one of the newest members of the Jacksonbelle team: Julie Lacey!
Julie is an absolutely AMAZING stamper and I am lucky enough to be on 2 different design teams with her. Julie's talent is incredible...I am inspired by her work on a daily basis! She is seriously the one of the best bow makers I have ever seen!!!! She is also a wiz with chipboard!
I also just found out that she lives in Minnesota...so she knows what it is like to be freezing cold too (we have some temps in the neg. digits this week)! Julie spends her days working as a financial controller (bet my dh wishes we had someone besides me controlling our finances, LOL) and her nights stamping with her 3 doggies! Ok...now that you know a little bit about Julie, head on over to HER BLOG and take a look around! You won't be disappointed!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge!

Welcome to another fabulous Jacksonbelle Tuesday challenge! For our final challenge of 2009 we decided to have a little fun with ribbon. Our challenge this week is called "Rolling in Ribbon". Think of a fun way to use ribbon ie ruffles, make a medallion by using a running stitch and gathering, use your scraps and layer them under your image...anything with ribbon! We would love for you to play along with us. If you do, be sure to leave us a link to your project on the challenge post on the Jacksonbelle blog.

Because I'm still a bit out of it after vacation and Christmas, I totally thought this challenge was to just use ribbon. I totally missed the part about a creative way to use ribbon. So here is my not-so-creative way of using ribbon:
I used a super cute Stampavie stamp, gorgeous May Arts ribbon and Basic Grey designer paper from the Jacksonbelle store.

This week is the last week for a couple of our departing design team members. Be sure to stop by and leave them some love. They are definitely going to be missed!
