Hello everyone! Hope you are all having a great week. Today I wanted to share a simple sympathy card. Sympathy cards are always the hardest cards for me to make. I don't like to make them too plain but at the same time fancy and complicated isn't always the best choice either. For my card today I decided to go with a fairly simple layout and then add a beautiful Blingz flower. I painted 2 Prima flowers, 1 with Spiced Cider Blingz and the other with Under the Sea. I layered them and added a brad. Nothing too fancy but enough to give the sympathy card a beautiful, elegant look.
The sentiment stamp is from DRS Designs. I paired it up with my favorite Gretel Cosmo Cricket designer paper.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you all have a great day!

Happy Wednesday!

Hope everyone is having a great week! Today I thought I would share one of the cards that I made with my July Firecracker Designs design team set. This month I am playing with Pamela's set "Phrases set 1". For this card I paired it up with one of my favorite sets ever..."She Dreams". I absolute LOVE this dragon. I colored the dragon with Copic markers and then painted areas with Shimmerz Marigold paint. I love the shiny look it gives the dragon.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a wonderful day!

DRS Designs Monday Blog Challenge!

Can you believe this is our 24th DRS Designs challenge! Wow! We hope you have been enjoying them! We sure have. The DT's challenge this time was to use the dazzling diamond dust technique. This is such a cool technique and really takes no time at all. We would love for you to participate in the challenge. Just post a direct link to your creation in the comment section on the DRS Designs blog and if you upload to a public gallery, please use the keyword DRSC24.

Be sure to check out the DRS Designs blog for more inspiration from the DT !

Here is my card for this week's challenge. Even though the technique is fairly simple, I struggled with the challenge this week. After several attempts, this was my best Diamond Dust sample:

This technique is really hard to photograph well. I did my best to try and show the diamond dust without totally blinding all of you.

I hope you all had a great weekend. Stop by later this morning for my Monday Little Paper Shop Challenge card and check back tomorrow for a fabulous Jacksonbelle Embellishments Tuesday challenge as well as the newest Twinkling Tuesday challenge.
