Life is Busy!

CRAZY BUSY!!! I haven't had a chance to stamp in FOREVER!!!! I'm hoping to stamp on Sunday...maybe...crossing my fingers!
Until then I wanted to share something that I got in the mail today:

Do you recognize any of those cards? I'll give you a hint...

I was SOOOOO excited to see my Unity Boo Crew card on the front cover! I also have a Paper Pretties Halloween Pick of the Patch Cooper card inside the magazine!

Thank you to all of you who still visit and leave comments. I know I don't post near as often as I used to. I'm hoping once school starts and I have a little teeny tiny bit more time to myself I will be able to stamp more!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge: CAS

Welcome to this week's Jacksonbelle Tuesday challenge! Our challenge this week is to make a CAS card! We'd love for you to play along! If you do be sure to let us know...leave a comment with a link to your project on the challenge post on the JB blog!

I love CAS cards but I have a really hard time making them. I'm just not a CAS girl, LOL.
For my card I used some gorgeous Pink Paislee designer paper, some Prima flowers, some Zva Creative roses and some Shimmerz Blingz...all from Jacksonbelle. My sentiment stamp is from Unity Stamps.

My layout comes from the current Clean and Simple Stamping sketch challenge:

Love My Tapes!

Is it Friday yet? I'm having one of those weeks where I wish I could just stay in bed until the weekend. If anyone has any good home remedies for getting a good night sleep I could really use them!
But anyway...
I have another card to share with you today that I made using my Japanese masking tape from Love My Tapes! This stuff is so fun to play with!
My layout for this card comes from this week's Sketch Saturday sketch challenge.

Here is their sketch:

Supplies used: SU cardstock, October Afternoon designer paper, Love My Tapes Japanese masking tape, Kaiser Gems, Circle Nestibilities, Unity stamps.

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to check back on Saturday for the first Little Paper Shop May release sneak peaks...there are some super cute sets being released this month!

ScrapbookPal Design Team Entry

Welcome back! It has been a busy day here on the good old blog....this is my 4th post for today but I wanted to share a couple of projects that I made for the Scrapbookpal.com design team call with you. Be sure to scroll down to see my SCACD Try It Out Tuesday Card and my Jacksonbelle Tuesday challenge card!

When I saw that Scrapbookpal.com was having a design team call I couldn't resist applying. Scrapbookpal.com has a huge selection of awesome paper crafting supplies at awesome prices! As an extra added bonus they have free shipping when your order reaches $25!

For my first design team call entry I made a 12x12 scrapbook page. I am way way way behind on the kids' scrapbooks so it felt great to get a page done today! I used my new Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge to cut all of my letters out. I LOVE this new font cartridge! It has several awesome fonts all on one cartridge. The retail price for this cartridge is $89.99 but Scrapbookpal.com has it on sale right now for $29.99! I used some super fun boy themed Little Yellow Bicycle designer paper. I distressed the edges of the paper with my Tonic Tim Holtz paper distressor and then added some Tim Holtz Distress Ink to the edges. The entire page is glued together with my absolute favorite adhesive in the world....Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue. (Click on the photo for a closer view).
For the 3rd time this week I also used my favorite white Scrappers Floss and colored it with coordinating Copic markers for the Copic Creations Coloring other surfaces challenge.

For my 2nd design team entry project I decided to make a Halloween card (because I had orange cardstock left over from my sb page, LOL). I used a fun Halloween stamp set from Unity stamps. I stamped and colored my monster images and then cut them out using my small and large Circle Spellbinders Nestibilities. Once again I used my Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue to adhere all my layers and the googlie eyes. If you have never used the Mono Multi liquid glue I definitely recommend you try it out. You will NEVER EVER have a problem with your layers falling apart ever again!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have an awesome night! Be sure to check back tomorrow for the Paper Pretties Wednesday challenge!

Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge!

Welcome to another fabulous Jacksonbelle Tuesday challenge! This week we have a fun inspiration challenge for you. Our challenge for you is to use this wedding cake as your inspiration:

It also happens that this is my actual wedding cake! A former co-worker of mine made our cakes and I LOVED them! Unfortunately we got married before digital photography was popular so I had to scan my printed photo. The photo just doesn't do the cake justice. It was SOOO cool. Our wedding anniversary is next week and I just can't believe it has been almost 8 years since we got married. Crazy how time flies! Here are a couple more shots of the cake before I share my card:

I decided to use the cake as a color challenge. I just had to dip into my new October Afternoon designer paper for this one. I also used this week's Taylored Expressions sketch challenge.
I found some Basic Grey buttons in my stash that matched the October Afternoon paper just perfectly!

For the 2nd time this week I added some white Scrappers Floss (that I colored with a pink Copic marker) to the buttons for the Copic Creations Coloring on other surfaces challenge!

Be sure to check out the blogs of all of the Jacksonbelle Rockstars for more inspiration!

Stamping for fun today!

I hope you are all having a terrific weekend! Life has been incredibly busy for us the past month or so and I haven't had much time for anything. It was also a busy month for design team work, so in the little bit of stamping time I've had I've been doing all design team work. I haven't had a chance to just sit down and stamp for fun in ages. Last night I decided I was desperately in NEED of some mental health time so I managed to sneak to the basement for a little bit of stamping.
I decided that instead of doing design team work I would just find a fun challenge and stamp for fun. I found 2 challenges that worked great together: the Limelight Sketch #46 Sparkle challenge and the Copic Creations challenge #27 Coloring on other surfaces.

Here is the Limelight sketch (the twist is you need to add sparkle):

For my card I used a stamp set from Unity Stamps called Insightful Meadow. For my sparkle I added some Basic Grey self adhesive red rhinestones. I also used some super cool Love My Tapes Japanese Masking Tape. Be sure to check out the Love My Tapes blog tomorrow as I am the featured product tester this week! As for my Copic Creations coloring on other surfaces challenge...I used a blue Copic marker and colored my white Karen Foster Scrappers Floss for the button in the center of my flower. I absolutely love using the white floss in buttons because I can customize it to any color using my Copics!

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! Be sure to check back tomorrow for the Little Paper Shop Monday challenge!
