Hello friends and family! It is time for my 3rd annual BLOG CANDY FOR A GREAT CAUSE giveaway! Before I get into the details of the blog candy I wanted to give you a little bit of background information:

My good friend Chava (who I've known for over 30 years - YIKES, I can't believe how old I am getting) has a 2 1/2 year old son, Alex. Shortly after Alex was born he was diagnosed with having Cystic Fibrosis. For those of you unfamiliar with CF here is a brief description:

Cystic fibrosis is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide). A defective gene and its protein product cause the body to produce unusually thick, sticky mucus that: clogs the lungs and leads to life-threatening lung infections; and obstructs the pancreas and stops natural enzymes from helping the body break down and absorb food.

Here is where my blog candy challenge comes in... Chava is participating in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Great Strides walks in Des Moines, IA on May 15th. Her fundraising goal is $500. Nearly 90 cents of every dollar raised is available for investment in vital CF programs to support research, care and education. Research and care supported by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is making a huge difference in extending the quality of life for those with CF. I'd love to help Chava reach her fundraising goal. I have already donated to her walk but would like to try and help out a little more. I am offering a chance at some REALLY AWESOME blog candy to anyone who donates. You can donate $1 or more. (FOR THOSE LIVING IN THE UNITED STATES - YOUR DONATION IS TAX DEDUCTIBLE). Blog Candy and a couple challenge cards!

As promised here is some blog candy to celebrate my 500th (or I guess my now, 501st) blog post!
This blog candy this time around consists of 5 unmounted rubber stamps from Paper Makeup Stamps. I'm sure you all know by now that I am a huge fan of Paper Makeup. I just love their adorable images. They just released a ton of fantastic new images too (I'm patiently waiting for my mailman to put my new order in my mailbox!). For my blog candy I have an Argus with Teddy, Caliope with stars, Caliope ,Dreck and Spike (I missed him in my photo) stamps! All you need to do is leave me a comment on this post. Time for some April Blog Candy!

I can't believe it is almost the end of April. Seriously, where does the time go.
For my April blog candy I have a beautiful stamp set from Hero Arts called Designer Butterflies (and you also get the April studio G set). I LOVE this Hero Arts butterfly set! Actually apparently I love it so much I bought it twice (you know me and butterflies, I can't resist). It is sad when you can't even remember what stamps you already own and then buy duplicates, LOL.
This month to get your name thrown in the pot, all you need to do is leave me a comment and tell me what your favorite book or movie is -you must answer the question to qualify. If you are a follower of my blog you get a 2nd entry, and for my dedicated followers-if you have commented 5 or more times on my blog in the past month you get a 3rd entry.
