I'm Home!!!! (and I have some blog candy!)

Well, I am finally home. Florida was absolutely wonderful and I actually shed a fear tears as we drove home today when I realized that I live in Wisconsin. I hate winter! I miss the sunny warm weather!
Vacation was awesome, but now that we are home I am TOTALLY stressed out. It is going to take me a month to unpack and organize our stuff and I have over 700 emails to sift through. Not to mention that I haven't stamped in over 2 weeks and I have tons of awesome new DRS Designs stamps and a mother load of Jacksonbelle Embellishment goodies sitting here waiting for me to use.
Oh and to top things off did I mention that I am starting a new job on Tuesday. I have been a stay at home mom for over 4 1/2 years and I'm starting a part time job working as a lab manager in a biochemistry lab at the UW. The hours are flexible and part time seems like a good way for me to slowly work my way back into the scientific community...
Oh and I also forgot to mention that less than half hour after we got home this afternoon, Beckett slipped and fell on our kitchen floor and knocked one of his front teeth loose...lots of blood, lots of crying, not fun! I had my sister take a look since she is a dental hygeintist and she thinks it will probably be ok....
Oh and then to add to my already skyrocketing stress when I logged in to my blog today I see the little sign saying...today is my blogoversary. How could I have forgotten about this. I wanted to have a little count down celebration and I totally missed doing that...heck I almost missed my blogoversary completely.
So even though there is no count down to my blogoversary celebration...I am still giving away some blog candy. Because I have only been home for a couple hours I don't have a picture of it yet but I'll assure you now that it will be a good one! (I'll try and post a picture by tomorrow night - If I'm not in a stress induced coma by then, LOL).
All you have to do for a chance to win is leave me a comment on THIS POST and tell me your favorite stress reducing activity. For all of you who are "Followers" of my blog, please leave a second comment for an extra chance to win. AND...if you want your name thrown into the pot a third time, just post a link to my blog on your blog and leave me comment telling me you did.
Easy as pie! I will leave this blog candy open for 1 week so you have until 5PM CST on Saturday January 10th to enter!

Thank you to all of you for making my first year of blogging such a success!!!!
Happy New Year!!!!

I would say the little pill that I get from the pharmacist help quite a bit... but that would be WRONG!!! I love stamping and coloring the images... The creativity really relaxes me!

I'm so sorry to hear you're stressed out. When I'm stressed, I brew myself a nice cut of Sleepy Time tea from Stash Teas, and curl up with a good book or my favorite magazine. Letting myself wind down and take a "time out" seems to put me in a better frame of mind to tackle all that stuff that got me stressed in the first place.

Back to leave a comment to let you know I'm a follower already. There's a link already on my blog in the list of "Blogs That I Read", but I'll also post a link for your candy. Welcome home, and remember: "This too shall pass." ;o)

And not to add to your stress, I didn't send out your stamps yet (the tea set)because I lost them for awhile...I put them somewhere safe...and yep, I forgot where I put them! But I do have them now, so I'll send them out on Monday. Though it sounds like you'll be quite busy for awhile already! Sorry!
Blessings, Maria

{{HUGS}} Call me tomorrow if you have TIME, I want to hear all about it! I am sorry you are stressed! I can't believe you're starting a job and abandoning me!!

Ok, I'm done. Stress relief? Two words - Pomegranate Martini. I think I spelled Pom. wrong, but you know what I mean. Also, a bubble bath, a good book, a massage, a good chick flick and STAMPING are all good stress relievers.

Hi Heather! Welcome home. The only time I am totally unstressed is when I'm on vacation without Bob's constantly ringing phone...when I'm at home and can't get away from the phone and all of the other stresors, I take a hot shower and bawl my eyes out. It doesn't help enough, but it get's some of my frustrations out.

marywebb said...

I am a follower for sure....I won't make a third post, I don't have a blog to link your blog to.

To de-stress I stamp! Seriously, that is the biggest stress reliever in my life right now. I also like to just veg in front of the tv or read a good book. There isn't much for getting your mind off of the stress in life like immersing yourself in a good book.

Yikes - no wonder you are feeling stressed, the tooth incident itself would do me in:) Best wishes with your new job, & CONGRATS on your blogoversary! A soak in the hot tub or warm bubble bath always helps me unwind. For those extra stressful times, I call a friend, we go to lunch, and gab away until I'm laughing again:)

HI Heather and happy blogoversary! My tip on reducing stress is finding a place that is your own where you can think and relax. During the summers I sit/lay on the floor of the balcony and look at the stars, reflect and relax. During the winters I jump in the bath. Make sure to have some "you" time everyday.

Great site...wonderful "treats"
When I'm stressed, my trick is to get everything settled (at least temporarily, and take a nice warm shower. 10 minutes away from everything and everyone makes a world of diference in anyone! Hang in there...
