My very first Anya card!

I finally found some time to do a little bit of stamping the past couple days. When I went to Scrap Mania a few weeks ago I was the lucky recipient of a few Anya images (thanks Jess and Jen!). If you aren't familiar with Anya you should definitely go check out The Greeting Farm. This girl is just adorable...and she even has an adorable male couterpart, Ian. Also, today is the big launch of Club Anya. They have a blog hop going on this afternoon with the chance to win some cool Anya prizes (I will definitely be there!). I've been a little scared of these images because I am still working on my coloring skills...I throw away a lot more than I save when it comes to coloring. I don' t have Copic markers (except for the peachy flesh tone one) but I do have a wide variety of Prismacolor, Sharpie and Bic*Write It markers. All of these are similar to Copics in that they are alcohol based. This was my very first attempt coloring Anya...how'd I do?Supplies used: Teacher Anya from The Greeting Farm, For You! sentiment from DRS Designs, Bazzill black cardstock, DCWV designer paper, alcohol markers, white Signo gel pen, Art Institue Lion's Mane glitter, SU wide red ribbon, blue ribbon from RABOM, foam dimensionals.

I have a bunch of new projects that I'm hoping to post this week... I finally got to play with my new clear sentiment set from Firecracker Designs, the Jacksonbelle challenge this week is to case one of our talented fellow designers, and I also have some new DRS projects that I can't wait to share with you! Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are all having a great weekend.

Good afternoon Everyone,

Aw cool, I love the card you have made, I think you are very talented, keep up the good work. I love homemade Birthday cards, I think they add a little something extra, and shows the person you are giving it to that you have that extra mile. Only problem is that I have tried in the past to make my own cards, but they look terrible! But I think I may have come found an alternative! Thanks to my lovely friend Imogen, I have now found out about electronic greetings cards, (she sent me one whilst I was in work, there was no occasion - she just wanted to say hi!)But I thought it was such a good idea, I started to look into sending some e-Cards myself. I did quite a lot of research, and spent a lot of time looking at loads of different sites and I have found a really cool Free Happy Birthday Day e-Card site that I really like. This particular site has an awesome application where you can upload a photograph of yourself and incorporate it into your card. This is such a clever idea, and adds that personal touch, and as I already mentioned this particular site is totally free. I think e-Cards are definitely worth a try, they are not for everyone, but I am becoming a fan! Just wanted to share my findings! Hope you find this useful! Best wishes, Nicole.
