TIOT #59 : Inspiration Challenge!

This is my 2nd post for today. Please scroll down to see my Jacksonbelle Tuesday challenge card!

Welcome to this week's SCACD Try It Out Tuesday challenge! This week's challenge is an inspiration challenge. We were challenged to find inspiration from one of our favorite movies!
This was a tough challenge for me since I have so many favorite movies. I decided to limit my pick to movies that I've watched in the past couple months. Since I happen to be someone who loves food and I happen to be a blogger, the movie "Julie & Julia" seemed like the perfect pick as my inspiration.
The newly released Victoria Case image "Little Marti" fit my inspiration piece perfectly (ok, so I might have picked the movie for this reason, but I truly did like the movie!). "Little Marti" is just the cutest little chef I have ever seen! You can purchase the new Victoria Case images individually or you can buy the entire Spring collection at an incredible discount! My main image is stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers. The sentiment I used comes from Pink Cat Studio. Susana carries several Pink Cat sets! I couldn't resist using some Basic Grey Nook and Pantry designer paper as well as my new favorite embellishment, American Crafts glitter buttons!

I used this week's Friday Sketchers sketch challenge as my layout inspiration.

Be sure to check out the blogs of the rest of the incredibly talented SCACD design team members for more inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a terrific Tuesday! Be sure to check back tomorrow for another fun Paper Pretties Wednesday challenge.

Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge!

Welcome to another fun Jacksonbelle Tuesday challenge! This week our challenge for you is to Show us your NEW STUFF!!! Use your favorite new products! We'd love for you to play along with us! If you do be sure to leave a link to your project in the comment section of the challenge post on the JB blog and/or use keyword JBE097 when up loading to PCP or SCS.

For my card I used the new Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety 6x6 paper pad along with the coordinating Garden Variety buttons. These new Cosmo 6x6 pads are filled with gorgeous coordinating patterns. I am addicted to 6x6 paper pads. They store so nicely and the price is definitely a plus! I also used one of my favorite Stampavie images. It isn't new, but the Jacksonbelle store does have the new Sarah Kay stamps in stock! I bought a couple of them and you will be seeing those on my cards in the upcoming weeks!

Little Paper Shop March Preview Blog Hop!

It's day 2 of the Little Paper Shop March releases! To celebrate this month's release the design team is having a blog hop! If you arrived here via Cindy's blog you are on the right path. If not, be sure to start back at the LPS blog to make sure you see all of the gorgeous preview cards! Make sure to leave a comment on each blog for a chance to win today's preview set!

Both of the March release sets will be available to purchase in the LPS store tomorrow. Since it is Monday, we also have a challenge for you! The challenge this week was given to use by design team member Cindy. Cindy's challenge is for us is to "make something new again". Do you have a drawer full of things that you just had to have and you've never used...eyelets, ribbon, buttons, etc. Dig through those bins and use those neglected items! We would love for you to play along. Remember, if you do, be sure to leave a link to your project on the LPS challenge blog post for a chance to win!

Today's preview set is called {Everyday}. I LOVE this set!!! I think I say that every time a new set is released but I truly LOVE this one. I love sentiment stamps and this set is full of gorgeous sentiments! My "old" item comes in the form of some Prima lace ribbon. I have had this ribbon forever but just never quite had the right project to use it on.

Can you tell I'm addicted to the easel card, LOL. I just love these fun little cards! I can't get enough of them!

Thanks for stopping by today! The next stop in the hop is the blog of the incredibly talented Ann.

Where do your Belles 'n Whistles stamps live?

The Belles 'n Whistles blog has a fun contest going on right now. Check out their blog for all of the details.

So to answer the question...my Belles 'n Whistles stamps live in a zoo! Ok, so maybe not a real zoo but our house sure seems like a zoo to me! We've got dogs, a caterpillar, a pig, a bunny, bears, fish, turtles, a killer whale and even a 2 headed snake...oh and did I mention 2 kids. That is the definition of a zoo if I ever heard one!

Be sure to check out the Belles 'n Whistles blog for all the exciting new release sneak peaks!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a great day!

It's Preview Time!

It's preview time at Little Paper Shop. The March release sets will be available to purchase in the LPS store on Tuesday but the design team is giving sneak peaks of the sets today and tomorrow! Today's preview set is called {Apple Lily}. This set is totally adorable! For a chance to win this set, be sure to stop over at the LPS blog and leave a comment!

SCACD Hearts and Hugs Spring Collection Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Susana's Custom Art and Card Design March release blog hop! Today marks the release of the latest collection of EXCLUSIVE SCACD images by the amazingly talented Victoria Case. The Victoria Case Hearts and Hugs - Spring Collection is filled with 7 incredibly ADORABLE springtime images. To showcase all these super fun spring images, the design team has put together a spring inspiration-filled blog hop! Each design team member is showcasing a different image today, so be sure to complete the full blog hop to see the complete release! The collection will be available for purchase at the SCACD store beginning today no later than 6 AM PST.

If you arrived here via Marti's blog you are on the right path. If you didn't, be sure to start back at the begining (Aud's blog) so that you don't miss out on any of the incredible design team projects!

For my card, I used the new Victoria Case stamp "Little Anki". Isn't she just the sweetest thing ever! I smile every time I look at her. "Little Anki" is stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers. I paired her up with some fun Basic Grey Sugar Rush designer paper and a Prima Innoscence flower sprayed with Shimmerz Spritz (Shimmerz Spritz is 25% off right now!) and embellished with a fun sparkly American Crafts button. The sentiment comes from the Pink Cat set Lilly and Tweety (lots of Pink Cat sets are 15% off right now at SCACD).

I incorporated a couple challenges into my card too (I have been loving the challenges lately!). My card is for the Cupcake Craft Challenge #81: FLOWER POWER and I know I'm a bit late but I also did use the sketch challenge from last Friday's Friday Sketchers challenge blog for my card layout.

Next stop in the hop is the blog of the incredibly talented Carolyn Bounds! Thank you so much for stopping by today! Be sure to head on over to the SCACD store to check out the entire Victoria Case collection! I hope you all have an awesome weekend!

Only 1 more day....

until the new Victoria Case Spring release at SCACD! To celebrate this awesome new release, Susana is giving away some AWESOME blog candy! You won't want to miss out on this one. You can check out all the blog candy details HERE.

I found a little bit of time to play along with a couple more challenges this week. My card today is for the Taylored Expressions sketch challenge and the Basic Grey Challenge.

Here is the Basic Grey Challenge inspiration piece:

For my card I used the super cute Elisabeth Bell "Oh Baby" stamp from SCACD. I used the Taylored Expressions sketch and then went with a baby theme as my inspiration. I stamped my image with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored her with Copic markers. For the flower I used one of the wonderful new Prima innoscence flowers and sprayed it using Smooch Spritz. The Smooch Spritz gives a GORGEOUS shimmer and it dries really fast!! The designer paper I used is Basic Grey (Origins) and My Mind's Eye. The Button and bling are from Basic Grey.

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to check back tomorrow for the big SCACD release blog hop!

For my card this week, I used another one of the gorgeous newly released Elisabeth Bell images from SCACD. This image is called "Heartstrings". Isn't she just beautiful! There were 7 new Elisabeth Bell images released and you can order them individually or you can order the entire Sampler Edition #3 collection for a fabulous discounted price! SCACD also carries a huge selection of Pink Cat stamps. My sentiment comes from the Pink Cat set Lilly and Tweety (15% off right now!). I cut the sentiment out using a Spellbinders die. My image is stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers. I embellished my card with a gorgeous Petaloo Dazzler flower (these are 25% off right now!). I pulled the rhinestone center off of the flower and added a super fun American Crafts glitter button!

I also made this card for this week's Cupcake Crafts Challenge: FLOWER POWER!

Jacksonbelle is getting sketchy!!!!!

It is time for another fabulous Jacksonbelle Tuesday challenge! This week we have an awesome sketch challenge for you. We'd love for you to play along. If you do, be sure to leave a comment with a link to your creation on the JB blog!

Here is the sketch:
I absolutely LOVE this sketch! I also absolutely LOVE my card that I made using this sketch. I don't know if my photo really does it justice because it really is beautiful in real life. I absolutely love the colors in these Jenni Bowlin mini papers (all Jenni Bowlin mini papers are 30% off right now at Jacksonbelle). They are the perfect size for this sketch too!
I added some gorgeous May Arts ribbon and some Prima crystal swirls! Doesn't that bow just look marvelous! I used the Bow Easy and I am just in awe at how perfect my bow turned out. I tried it a second time just to make sure it wasn't a fluke and amazingly enough I was able to duplicate my perfect bow. The Bow Easy is amazing! The sentiment is from Paper Makeup Stamps.

More challenge fun!

I'm on a challenge roll! Today I decided to play along with this week's Pink Elephant challenge which is to add green to your color combo. My color combo also fits in with this week's Try It Out Tuesday again (Pink, Sage and White). I used the sketch layout from Mercy's sketch (MTSC62) from last week (I'm a little late playing along but I really like last week's sketch).

For my card, I inked up another one of my brand new Elisabeth Bell stamps from SCACD. I absolutely LOVE these new Elisabeth Bell images! Today I used "New Friends". Isn't she just the sweetest image ever! You can purchase each of the new Elisabeth Bell images separately or you can buy the entire sheet of 7 stamps for an incredibly deal! I stamped my main image with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic markers. The image is cut out with my Spellbinders circle Nestibilities...(And speaking of Spellbinders....Susana has the NEW Spellbinders Nestibilities in stock- Her prices are the best around too!). I finished off my card with some self adhesive pearls from Kaisercraft.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have an absolutely wonderful weekend!

Try It Out Tuesday!!!!

This is my 2nd post for today. Please be sure to scroll down to see my card for the Jacksonbelle Tuesday challenge!

I have some SUPER EXCITING news to share today! A week or so ago I got an email from Susana, from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design, asking me if I would be interested in joining her design team for the next few months. I can't tell you how incredibly excited I was. I am completely in love with the GORGEOUS stamps Susana sells, as well as all of the other fabulous products in her store. It honestly took me about 2 seconds to make my decision!
Today is my first official Try It Out Tuesday as part of the SCACD design team and I am just absolutely giddy! This week's challenge {TIOT57} is a color challenge: Pink, Sage/Moss Green and White/Cream.

If you aren't familiar with SCACD I highly recommend you take a few minutes and browse through the store... you won't be disappointed!! Susana carries so many fabulous, top of the line products and her customer service is the best I've ever seen! For my card, I picked several of my favorite products from her store to use. Of coarse I just had to ink up one of SCACD's newly released Elisabeth Bell images. These new images are just incredible. This image is called "Oh Baby". Isn't she just the cutest thing ever! There were 7 new Elisabeth Bell images released and you can order them individually or you can order the entire Sampler Edition #3 collection for a fabulous discounted price! I also used some gorgeous new Prima flowers. Susana has a ton of the new Prima Innoscence flowers in stock. I LOVE these white flowers because they are completely customizable. You can leave them white, spray them with Shimmerz Spritz or Smooch Spritz, or you can even color them with Copic markers. I also used some of the pretty Prima mini roses. These are the perfect sized accent to go along with the bigger flowers. The gem accents in the corner are Kaiser self adhesive gems.

I also incorporated a couple other challenges into my card. My layout comes from this week's Taylored Expression sketch challenge and I also played along with the "It's All About Texture" challenge from Crazy 4 Challenges.
Be sure to check out the blogs of the rest of the incredibly talented SCACD design team members for more inspiration!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you all have an incredible day!
