Blingz Bunnies!

I don't know about you, but I am SO in love with the new colors of Blingz! Pixie Dust is my absolute favorite color ever! Not sure if you noticed but these new colors coordinate perfect with the new Basic Grey Bittersweet papers! For my card I used Blingz Pixie Dust, Blingz Hottie Pink, Basic Grey Bittersweet designer paper, May Arts ribbon and this adorable Inkadinkado bunny stamp all from Jacksonbelle Embellishments. The bunnies are painted with Blingz Pixie Dust and Blingz Hottie Pink. Aren't they just adorable!

Here is a close-up photo of the bunnies taken with the flash on.
Supplies used: Blingz Pixie Dust, Blingz Hottie Pink, Inkadinkado mod bunny stamp, Basic Grey DP, Bazzill cardstock, May Arts ribbon, Michael's self adhesive rhinestones, foam dimensionals, sentiment was printed out on the computer.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge...Stitch it up!!!

It's that time again...time for another Jacksonbelle Tuesday challenge! This week's challenge is a fun one! Stitch it up! Lindsey loves faux stitching, so she challenged us to add some stitching to our projects... whether it is faux or REAL!!! We would love for you to play along with us. If you do, please use the keyword JBE037 when uploading to SCS or PCP.
Because I broke the needle on my sewing machine and still haven't replaced it, I decided to use faux stitching rub on tape from Daisy D's. This stuff is super cool and it is super easy to use. It works just like a tape runner. Best thing is, if you make a mistake you can just erase it with an adhesive eraser! Jacksonbelle carries several styles for you to choose from! I also used several other awesome Jacksonbelle products on my card....Memory Box DP, Basic Grey glazed brad, Prima flower (was white and I colored it with a black Prismacolor marker), May Arts ribbon and Pixie Dust Shimmerz Blingz (my absolute FAVORITE ever!).
The stiched flower stamp is from DRS Designs.
I paper pieced my flower petals and leaves with Memory Box paper that I painted with Shimmerz Pixie Dust Blingz. Here is a close-up to show how much shimmer the Blingz adds!

DRS Designs blog challenge!

This week's challenge for the DT was to use any of the DRS recognition stamps on their projects. DRS has a ton of these wonderful stamps...you should definitely check them out! Of course the intended use of these images is for the back of your cards/projects but what about thinking outside the box and using them in other ways??

We would love for you to play along in our challenges. You do not need DRS images to play but if you have them, why not use them! If you play along, be sure to come back to this post and post a direct link to your project so we can check it out. We want you to inspire us! Also, if you upload to a public gallery, please use the keyword - DRSC13.

Without further ado...here is my project....
This challenge was REALLY difficult. I just couldn't figure out how to feature a "handmade by" stamp on the front of my card. After looking through my stash of stamps I saw the cat print stamp and came up with this idea. I know there are a lot of animal lovers who send cards from their pets so I decided to make this card "handmade by Felix" (Felix is the only name I could come up with that sounded cat-like enough to make this idea work).
If you decide to take on this huge challenge, we would love to see your projects...please be sure to leave a link to your projects either on this post or on the DRS Designs blog!

DRS Designs is having another giveaway!!! We'll make it easier for you this week though!!! This week the prize is a roll of, according to Cathy, the best adhesive she has ever used!!!

It is a roll of two sided tape (1/2" x 36 yards) and all you have to do is leave a comment on the challenge post on the DRS Designs blog indicating which DRS image is your favorite!
We'll draw a random winner on Sunday night Feb. 8, 2009.

I hope everyone is having a great day! Thanks for stopping by today!

I'm Sorry!

Just wanted to post a little apology to all of my blogging friends and my dedicated blog readers. I have been so incredibly busy with my new job that I just haven't had time in the past couple weeks to post much on my blog or to leave comments on your blogs. I am hoping to catch up this weekend! My Google reader is crazy full right now. Please know that I have not been ignoring your blogs on purpose. We (meaning mainly ME) are having a very stressful time adjusting to my new working schedule. I have had some crazy days (I got on the city bus to go to campus at 5:54 am this morning) but hopefully within the next week or two I will settle into more of a routine schedule. Until then, please bare with me! I am hoping to get A LOT of relaxing stamping time this weekend so hopefully I will get my blog posts for next week all worked out ahead of time! Crossing my fingers at least!

In the meantime I thought I would share another card made with a couple of the newest designs released at DRS Designs. I know I 've mentioned this before but I really loved all of the new designs released at DRS in January. If you haven't checked them out yet, click HERE!Supplies used: Stamps from DRS Designs, SU CS, BG DP, Glitter paper from Marcella K, Hero Arts self adhesive rhinestones.

Monday already?

Where did the weekend go? I didn't even get a chance to stamp all weekend. We spent most of the weekend cleaning the house since we sorta just let it go since Christmas. Thankfully I still have today free. Since my new job is at the university, they are closed today due to the holiday. The kids are off of school too so we have a day free of all outside obligations! I'm planning on getting the kids breakfast and then heading to the basement to stamp (although I have to clean my stamp room first so that I can maybe find my stamp table.). I'm hoping to get lots of stuff stamped today!

Today I have another card to show you that I made with some of the newly released DRS Designs stamps. This latest release had a lot of really cute stuff in it. Actually it is my favorite release so far! If you haven't checked them out yet, you can click HERE to see all the wonderful new designs!
My card today is a really easy 4/1/4 x 4 1/4 square card. I am really loving square cards lately. For this one I used the new brush baby buggy stamp and the new diaper pin stamp. I paper pieced the buggy with the green background dp. I thought the little blue buttons added the perfect finishing touch. Nothing too fancy but I thought it turned out pretty cute!

Supplies used: Stamps from DRS Designs, SU CS, misc DP, misc ribbon, mini buttons, foam dimensionals.

I hope you all have a terrific day! Don't forget to stop by tomorrow for another Jacksonbelle weekly challenge!

Thanks for stopping by today. It is FREEZING cold here today. Current conditions say -14 with a windchill of -30. YUCK! I hate cold weather! Every school around is closed! Unfortunately the kids have haircut appointments later this morning. I would cancel but it is so hard to get in with their stylist. Hopefully after that I will get lots of stamping time in this afternoon! Hope you all have a warm and cozy day!

Pink Papery Studios Altered Challenge!

This week the Pink Papery Studios DT was given the challenge of creating an altered item. To be totally honest I suck at altered items but I did my best to come up with something presentable. This was even more of a challenge considering whatever illness I have has sucked the life out of me. My energy level is in the negative the past couple days.
If you aren't familiar with Pink Papery Studios, they offer a ton of cute stamps and you can purchase them either as a stamp set or as a digi set. The digi sets are less expensive and very versatile. You can resize the images to whatever size you need. Very convenient.
Here is my altered 7x10 inch spiral scrapbook:Thanks for stoppy by today. I hop you are all having a wonderful day!

If you don't have any DRS ribbon slides you can use any other kind of ribbon slide or even turn an existing image into a ribbon slide as long as you use it as your focal point. If you don't use DRS images and your name is chosen you will receive a selection of ribbon slides of your very own! If you DO use DRS images and your name is chosen, you will receive an even bigger selection of slides!!

If you would like to play along, just make sure to comment on the DRS Designs blog (HERE) with a direct link to your creation so we can come check it out! If you upload to a public gallery, please use the keyword DRSC12.
